In the last few years, we have seen how various programs have been launched, thanks to which it is possible to convert your computer into a multimedia center, with which it is possible to play videos, watch television, listen to the radio and view our collection images.

  MediaPortal is a very complete MediaCenter that is full of possibilities, both for the personalization of the program, as well as the reproduction and visualization of all kinds of multimedia files.

  The most important features of the application are the following:

  - Video: It is possible to catalog our film collection and play DVDs or files stored on our hard drive. Including a navigation system and playback control that are very simple and clear.

  - Music: As well as being able to use the integrated player, it is possible to use Winamp or iTunes withing MediaPortal, thanks to the appropriate plugins, so we will be able to have our music library available directly from the application.

  - Images: The application allows us to store and perform presentations of our photograph collection by means of slideshows. Moreover, it allows to add music and apply zoom and transition effects.

  - Television: MedialPortal offers support for DVB-C, DVB-T, DVB-S and ATSC. It will also be possible to check the teletext just like we would on a normal TV.

  - Internet: Another of the great functions of the program is the capacity to be able to read news by means of RSS, check the time directly from the program, listen to online radio broadcasts or browse over Internet.
